A very magical, wonderful audience at the Northwest Puppet Center's 3rd Crankie Fest on Oct. 1, 2016.

 I very much enjoy collecting crankie fest posters! Many thanks to the artists for giving me permission to post their work.

This concert series brightened up my summer, even though I couldn't be there in Prince Edward Island. Vishtèn is a multi-award winning Acadian Celtic group who introduced crankie to that part of Canada in the summer of 2021. I hope this is the first of many productions. vishten.com

2021 - The 3rd Annual Winnipeg Crankie Festival was a great success!  Artwork  by Graham Lindsey of Wavelength Media.

The festival was organized by Leonard Podalak, banjo player with the band the Duhks. He has also given countless crankie workshops to kids in the Winnipeg area. Check out the website!

THE FIRST Festival of Miniature Crankies was Feb. 13th, 2021, sponsored by the Western Massachusetts Puppetry Guild.  Justine DuPont of Feral Puppets Company coordinated this online event WHAT FUN!!

2017 - The first Ithaca (NY) Crankie Cabaret was a sold out success! The event was coordinated by crankster Lily Gershon.

December 2016. This crankie fest was at the the award-winning Sandglass Theater in Putney, VT. It was coordinated by Brendan Taafe and Eric Bass and Ines Zeller Bass of the Sandglass Theater. Poster by long-time crankster Sam Bartlett.

2016, In the Pittsburgh, PA area, Ellen Gozion coordinated this festival.  On the poster is one of her crankies  made of paper mosaic. www.ellengozion.com
